What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise you or remember something on a later visit. Cookies are not the whole story, though. Browsers also offer other kinds of local storage, and websites can use techniques such as tracking pixels or device fingerprinting. UK law, specifically the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, often called PECR, treats most of these alike: storing information on your device, or reading information from it, generally needs your consent unless it is strictly necessary for the service you asked for. This policy covers all of these technologies, not only literal cookies.
What this website actually uses
Website functionality updated on 15 September 2026:
- Typefaces and page assets are served with this website. Fonts do not load from Google Fonts.
- Our enquiry form does not save drafts in browser storage. The announcement bar does not store a dismissal preference.
- TutorBird sign-in loads only on the parent and student login page. It connects your browser to TutorBird and includes Google reCAPTCHA for abuse prevention. TutorBird may use cookies and similar technologies for its service.
- Our WhatsApp and social media links take you to external services when selected. Their own policies apply on those sites.
- Vercel hosts this website and handles requests needed to serve its pages.

Optional advertising measurement
With your permission, we load Google Tag Manager (GTM-WHBJPVDT) to manage Google Ads measurement. This helps us understand which advertisements bring visitors to our website. The container and its advertising tags remain blocked until you accept measurement. Analytics and personalised advertising consent remain denied. Without JavaScript, advertising tags remain inactive. TutorBird sign-in is a separate service, described above.
When TutorBird loads
The TutorBird widget is included on the login page only. It is not loaded on the homepage, subject pages or enquiry page. You can also use the direct TutorBird link on the login page. Account sign-in is handled by TutorBird.
Managing storage in your browser
Use Cookie settings in the footer to accept or reject advertising measurement at any time. We remember either choice for up to 180 days using local storage named tth-ad-consent-v1; this preference is used only to respect your decision. If storage is unavailable, your choice may not be remembered on the next page. Withdrawing consent reloads the page to stop loaded tags and removes accessible first-party _gcl_ advertising cookies and the _gcl_ls click-information storage entry. Your browser settings can also delete other cookies and site data. Blocking third-party content may affect TutorBird sign-in; its direct login link remains available.
If this changes
We will review our consent controls and this policy before introducing new tracking purposes or providers. The current choice covers Google advertising measurement only. Adding an analytics or remarketing tag in Tag Manager requires a separate review of its purpose and consent settings.
Reviewing this policy
This policy took effect on 24 July 2026 and is reviewed at least annually, with the next review due by 24 July 2027, and sooner if the website changes. Optional Google advertising measurement
When you accept advertising measurement, Google may receive your IP address, browser and device information, visited page URLs, advertising click identifiers and measurement events. Google Ads may store first-party _gcl_ cookies, typically for up to 90 days, and click information in local storage named _gcl_ls. We rely on your consent for this optional measurement, and you can withdraw it through Cookie settings. This integration does not add names, email addresses, phone numbers, enquiry messages or children’s details to the data layer. Google may process information outside the UK; see Google’s privacy information for its handling and safeguards. Withdrawal does not undo information already sent.
