A lot of content, without a clear starting point

We identify the concepts that need attention and connect related ideas so revision becomes more manageable.

Understanding a topic but losing marks in explanations

We practise using precise scientific language, linking cause and effect and answering the question that was asked.

Calculations or data that interrupt understanding

Units, graphs and mathematical methods are part of science. We work through them alongside the scientific meaning.

What we work on

Support with a clear purpose.

Tell us whether the student takes Combined Science or separate Biology, Chemistry and Physics, plus their board and tier where applicable. We confirm the exact qualification and whether support is needed across sciences or in one subject.

How lessons work

Biology

Cells and systems, inheritance and ecology, with attention to clear explanations and unfamiliar contexts.

Chemistry

Particles, bonding and reactions, connecting models, equations and calculations.

Physics

Forces, energy, electricity and waves, relating diagrams and equations to physical ideas.

Practical and data skills

Variables, measurements, graphs and evaluating evidence. Online discussion supports understanding; it does not replace school practical work.

An example of the approach

Read the evidence before reaching a conclusion

For a graph question, first identify the axes and units. Describe the pattern using the data, then explain it using the relevant scientific idea. A trend and its explanation are different parts of an answer.

Personal, considered support

A match you can discuss.

We consider the course, the student’s starting point and how they learn before confirming a suitable tutor.

Clear arrangements before lessons

Your written quotation explains the agreed tuition. We discuss lesson timing and the support needed before you commit.

Teaching with care

Our safeguarding policy requires enhanced DBS checks, identity checks and references before tutors teach.

Your questions

Your GCSE science questions.

Straightforward answers, before you take the next step.

Can tuition focus on just one science?

Yes. Tell us whether you need biology, chemistry or physics support, or help across more than one. We confirm the relevant tutor match and arrangements.

Do online lessons replace required practical work?

No. Tuition can support understanding of methods, data and practical questions. The student must follow their school or examination centre’s requirements for practical work.

Is the Year 11 Results Programme an alternative?

The programme includes live group science tuition alongside maths and English. We discuss course fit and the available group arrangements before advising on a place.

Your next step
